Dar Dahlen

Hi, my name is Dar, I'm a programmer/physicist.

I enjoy working on hard engineering, math, or physics-y problems wherever they may be.

I have a lot of experience in building control software for large, complicated hardware systems, including testing and documentation. Currently I work at CalTech, working a NASA project to build a telescope looking for dangerous asteroids. I build simulation and data processing tools which simulate many millions of asteroids. Previously I worked at SpaceX on the Starlink satellite constellation. I was a part of the team which handles the scheduling of ground and satellite antennas for ~1800 satellites.

I used to do mostly experimental work, starting with big lasers: More recently (2016-2021) I worked in Quantum Computing / Information, transitioning from hardware to software: I can be contacted through email (see below), or found on Linkedin, or on Github.
